To EVC or not to EVC… that is the question!
I personally always recommend it, and I am willing to sacrifice a bit of performance to have the flexibility to vMotion VMs live wherever and whenever I choose to (older/newer hardware, vmware cloud, etc). Hardware/technologies change all the time, so it is hard to keep up, and this just helps remove one extra layer of complexity around it.
“It is possible, but unlikely, that an application running in a virtual machine would benefit from these features, and that the application performance would be lower as the result of using an EVC mode”
