Just attended the Pure// Accelerate 2025 keynote, and it does not look like Pure Storage is slowing down anytime soon. From major product reveals to a fresh take on how we manage and protect data, there was a lot to take in. In this blog, I’m sharing the key highlights, big announcements, and what it all means for IT teams trying to stay ahead of the curve.

  • FlashArray //XL R5
    • 50% performance gain over previous //XL model
  • FlashBlade //S R2
    • Newer blade CPUs = faster performance (more details to come)
  • FlashArray //ST
    • Perfect for ultra latency-sensitive workloads (For example, in-memory databases or NOSQL databases)
    • Abbreviation is FAST. Get it? Brownie points to marketing there.
  • Enterprise Data Cloud (EDC)
    • Cloud functionality on-prem? Unify flash arrays into a single storage “pool” and consume PBs storage without the overhead of managing each array separately.
    • Dynamic Workload balancing coming soon
  • FlashBlade //EXA now GA
    • Created for top performance workloads
    • Solution consists of FlashBlade used strictly for Metadata, storage nodes and 1000s of GPUs
  • FlashArray adds Object functionality
    • True unified approach once and for all now supporting Block, SMB, NFS and Object workloads within the same array
